The city beautiful has been fully developed on the land own by several villages. Rising development, increasing population and high land prices leads to the conversion of agricultural land into commercial. Thus, the total land under agriculture in the territory of UT has now decreased to just 595 hectares presently, which is owned by 680 families as described below.
