SUBJECT :CHEMCON 2014 

 Panjab University will host the 67th Annual Indian Chemical Engineering Congress (CHEMCON-2014) from December 27 to 30.

Vice-President of India and PU Chancellor M Hamid Ansari would be the chief guest at the prestigious international conference being organised by the Chandigarh Regional Centre, Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) in collaboration with the Dr SS Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (UICET), PU.

PU Vice-Chancellor Prof Arun Kumar Grover said CHEMCON-2014 would offer the most attractive platform for intensive interface to the best of the national and international brains in chemical engineering and allied fields.

It would feature a host of events, which will include memorial lectures, plenary lectures, seminars, symposia, panel discussions and exhibition, he said.

The conference is being organised on the theme “chemical engineering-emerging dimensions and challenges ahead”. The theme focuses on providing a forum for substantial discussion on the emerging technologies and methodologies being developed to overcome the challenges, said organising secretary, CHEMCON-2014, Prof VK Rattan and chair, local organising committee, Prof SK Sharma.

Delegates from Japan, Canada, US, Singapore, South Africa and Iran would also participate.
