Ryan International School, Sector49 B, organised the red colour week for the Montessori section of the school. Various rhymes on red colour were sung. A talk show was also held. A fancy dress competition was also organised to give a boost to the speaking skills of the students.

Investiture ceremony

Stepping Stones School, Sector 37, Chandigarh, held its investiture ceremony. The new students’ council was selected on the basis of performance and other abilities.

Inter-house talent hunt competition

An inter-house talent hunt competition was organised at St Soldier School, Sector 28, Chandigarh. The competition gave an opportunity to the students to display their skills in dancing, acting and singing. The students thoroughly enjoyed the event and cheered the participants.

World Book Day

Delhi Public School, Sector 40 C, held a fest to mark World Book Day. The library department of the school designed week-long activities for different classes. Various activities like badge-making were held. The students were encouraged to read books and appreciate literature. Principal Reema Dewan appreciated the enthusiastic response to the fest

School senate sworn in

The newly appointed school senate was sworn in during the the investiture ceremony at KB DAV School. Captains and vice-captains the four school houses Jasmine, Lotus, Rose and Tulip took an oath of upholding the values and ideology of the school.

Prize distribution programme

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Sector-25, organise a prize distribution programme. Principal Santosh Sharma presented the annual report. An art and craft exhibition was held. Students stunned the audience with their beautiful cultural programme. The Bengali dance, lilliput dance and giddha mesmerised the guests and added color to the festivity. Chief guest Keshni Anand distributed prizes among the meritorious students.

Tech talk

Government Senior Secondary School, Dhanas, held a one-day workshop on the topic “Technology the Game Changer in Future Education.” The students were given a vast information on the topic. Mahesh Shetty said if the technology was used properly, then it could prove to be a nectar for society.

Special assembly

Panchkula: The shubham house of Bhavan Vidyalaya organised a special morning assembly dedicated to the elders. It aimed at inculcating moral values among the students. A documentary was also screened. Some students presented a skit, which gave the message that children should be friendly and patient towards the elders.

Fancy dress competition

The Fantasy-2015, a fancy dress competition, was organised at the junior wing of St Xavier’s school. Children from Classes pre-nursery to KG were given various themes and they dressed up accordingly. A slogan writing competition was organised for Classes I to III. The students came up with thought provoking slogans. Headmistress Cynthia Shear congratulated the winners.

Awareness rally

Mohali: Students of Sant Isher Singh Public School took out an environment awareness rally. More than 100 students participated in the rally. The students of Classes pre nursery to V enthusiastically participated in the rally.

Workshop

AKSIPS School organised a workshop with an aim to enhance the creativity of the students from Classes III to X. The children learnt the needle work and the use of different threads to form beautiful and impressive patterns. A few students were called to demonstrate their creativity and learning. The workshop was enjoyed thoroughly by the students.

Yellow day

The yellow day was celebrated at the Montessori wing of Ryan International School, Mohali. Children and teachers wore yellow clothes. All yellow-coloured objects were put up on the display board.
