The Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL), the Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO) and the Ordnance Cable Factory (OCF) jointly organised a marathon in the city today to sensitise the residents to making cleanliness a habit. The theme of the marathon was “Clean-n-Green India.”
The run began from the CSIO residential campus and went up to Sector 26 before culminating at the OCF Senior Club in Sector 29, covering a distance of 9 kms.
More than 300 scientists, engineers, technical and non-technical staff members from the three institutes as well as the DRDO’s Defence Institute of High Altitude Research and Estate Management Unit, along with their family members, participated in the event.
On the occasion, TBRL Director Dr Manjit Singh lauded the joint efforts of the CSIO, the OCF and the TBRL sports officers in holding such a big marathon. He also exhorted participants to apply cleanliness in the day-to-day life, from house to work place and surroundings.
