Sri Guru Harkrishan Model School, Sector 38, observed Hiroshima Day, here on Monday. The teachers and students paid homage to the innocent victims of the atomic bomb that exploded at Hiroshima, Japan, on 1945. Besides the screening of a short film on World War II, a play was also organised. Various other activities like poster-making, essay-writing, book-mark making and badge-making will be held till August 9 to mark the tragedy
MOU: Hewlett Packard (HP) and Swami Vivekanand Research and Technology Park (SVRTP) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the establishment of the first HP centre for excellence at SVIET, here, on Monday. “SVIET will invest Rs. 1 crore for the centre, where technocrats from HP Education will impart training,” CEO of SVIET Manmohan Garg said.
SEMINAR: MCM DAV College for Women, Sector 36, organised a seminar on “How to enhance efficiency among students” on the college premises, here, on Monday. The seminar was a preview to a course which would be introduced soon. Principal of the college Puneet Bedi said, “MCM is aiming at the holistic development of each young girl that joins the college.”
