Chandigarh, May 19
The
Centre for Adult, Continuing Education and Extension (CACEE), Panjab University, organised a one-day training camp on “Ethics of Environment Protection- a Commitment towards Social Cause” at Government High School, Sarangpur village, here today. Sixty students and a community from the village attended the training programme.

While highlighting the objectives of the programme, Renu Gandhi, programme in-charge, from the CACEE discussed that the time has come to make the community aware of the consequences of global warming. She expressed that since the issue of environment protection involved the whole community and society at large, involvement of all members to save natural resources is imperative to make healthy environment for the sustainable development of the society.

Dr Avnish Jolly said use of junk food, electronic media and pesticides in agricultural production in our daily life
