AS a part of Anti cracker campaign, all student of GMSSS 20D Chandigarh took oath of not using crackers in the forthcoming Diwali during morning assembly. This was followed by Anti cracker rally by student in the nearby areas to sensitize the people not to burst crackers by holding placards and raised Slogans against crackers.
A series of activities including assembly talk by the principal and student, poem recitation; essay-writing competition, poster-making and slogan-writing competition were organized in the school premises with an aim to create awareness among student to celebrate safe Diwali by generating less non-biodegradable waste, thus protecting the environment. The ill-effects of crackers were highlighted and students were encouraged to celebrate Eco-friendly Diwali during anti- cracker campaign by NSS, NCC volunteers and Lotus Eco-club of the school.
